I have learned on ‘Smart School’ in my previous class. I gained a lot of information on this topic and I like the concept of smart school in order to foster quality education in school. I welcome the concept of smart school to be applied in my teaching.
What I can understand about the concept teach by Miss Chin.
In this era of technology, being a teacher in an electronic classroom, I need to change my role from being information providers to facilitator in order to help my students know how to select information source, to make judgments about what they are downloading.
Smart school creating a curriculum where students learn how to learn so that they can continue their education throughout the rest of their lives. In short, high tech requires high touch because the key to success in the Information Age will be making the right judgments between awesome arrays of choices. Students are given choices to self-learning and choose own materials to update their skills of learning. As a teacher, I should be a facilitator in this electronic class.
